BEAR SCOUT: Elective 12: Nature Crafts

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.


Note: Each letter counts toward arrow points (10 needed for each arrow point).
All 6 letters in Elective 12 must be earned as part of the World Conservation Award.
At Lion Country Safari
(during your badge workshop)
Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
12 A: Make shadow print of 3 kinds of leaves
12 B: Make 8 different animal tracks using rubber stamps
12C: Learn several different kinds of leaves from trees and
plants.
12 E: Learn about several kinds of plant seeds and talk
about the importance of seeds.
12 F: Learn about different kinds of rocks.
12 C: Collect, press, and label 10 kinds of leaves.
12 D: Build a waterscope and identify 5 types of water life.
12 E: Collect and label 8 kinds of seeds.
12 F: Collect, mount, and label 10 kinds of rocks and
minerals (Some available at our main gift shop).
12 G: Collect and label 5 kinds of shells.
12 H: Build and use a bird caller.
