BROWNIE SCOUT: Animals

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.

At Lion Country Safari
(during your badge workshop)		 Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
1. Lion Country Safari will do a special animal presentation
for your group. Girls will learn what animals need to be
healthy.
2. At the animal presentation, Education staff will also
explain the difference between pets and wild animals,
and how to safely watch wildlife.
3. Play the Animal Movement game.
4. Discuss how animals have different characteristics.
Ask the Scouts to identify animals that have:
· 2/4/6/8/no legs
· fur/feathers/scales/shells
· wings but no feathers
· paws/claws/flippers/hooves
5. Play animal sound charades.
