BROWNIE SCOUT: Dancercize

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.

At Lion Country Safari
(during your badge workshop)		 Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
1. Move to the Beat
· March in place
· Step forward and backward, swinging your arms to
the sides
· Step sideways and swing your arms in circles
· Put your hands on your hips and move from side to
side
· Walk in a circle, lifting your knees and clapping
your hands
3. My own dance
· Make up a dance to your favorite song
· Teach it to other girls
5. Follow the Leader
· Take turns leading the group in various movements.
Use animal movements
6. A Dance Story
· Tell the story of your visit to Lion Country Safari in a
dance.

1. Move to the Beat
· Make up your own movements.
· Do them for 10-15 minutes
2. Dance on Stage
· Watch a dance performance at a theater, stage, or TV.
· What parts of the dance can you imitate?
4. Dance party
· Have a dance party with a group of friends
