JUNIOR GIRL SCOUT: Camera Shots

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.


NOTE: SCOUTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN CAMERA & FILM FOR PHOTOS.
6 are required to earn the badge

Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
1. Camera Shop
- Learn @ 3 different cameras, film, and ways of
recording pictures.
4. Landscape
- Take at least 5 photos that focus on the environment.
6. Show time
- Frame and display one of your photos.
8. Tell a story
- Take at least 5 pictures or create a video to tell a story.

2. Portraits
- Take action, full-body, and close-up photos of family or
friends.
3. Sports Photographer
- Take at least 10 photos or 10 minutes of video of people
participating in athletic events.
5. The basics
- Learn to use a video camera.
7. Get ready, get set
- Learn to maintain & clean your camera equipment, how to
insert & remove film, tape or digital images.
9. Screen test
- Hold a screening party for one of your "dailies."
10. Getting it in shape
- Visit a video editing facility to learn how to do editing and
special effects. Do some.
