JUNIOR GIRL SCOUT: Drawing & Painting

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.

Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
1. Media Savvy
- Explore different types of media. Create 3 pictures of the
same thing in 3 media.
2. Primary-Secondary
- Create secondary colors by combining primary colors:
R+B=P; R+Y=O; B+Y=G. Make a pic.
3. No brushes
- Do 2 different painting techniques (will be 2 of: finger,
sponge, string, or spatter)
4. What's your line
- Make 2 pictures that show different uses of line
5. In shape
- Use shapes to make a picture
7. It's how you look at it
- Learn about perspective, and make a picture.

6. Shades of color
- Create 2 pics showing shades of the same color.
8. On the wall
- Make a group mural.
9. On your own
- Create an art gallery or art show to display your work.
10. Women who paint
- Learn about a female artist from a book, video, or online
source.
