JUNIOR GIRL SCOUT: Theatre

Note: Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.

6 are required to earn the badge
At Lion Country Safari
(during your badge workshop)		 Scouts need to do on their own
(or as a Den activity)
1. Make a mask
- Make a mask to be used in a skit.
3. Character charades
- Play the game. Exs: skier, camper, detective, cyclist,
elephant keeper, veterinarian, etc.
4. Mirror, mirror
- Mirror mimic someone else.
5. How you say it
- Say "I did it" at least 5 ways to express these emotions:
pride, guilt, fear, happiness, surprise, or horror.
8. Belt it out
- Make sure you're loud enough to be heard.

2. Character traits
- Read a play and choose a character you'd like to play.
Describe her personality, behavior, and how she's seen
by others.
6. Mix it up, make it up
- Design your own costumes and props for a performance.
7. The changing faces in theater
- Visit a make-up counter and get made up as a special
character.
9. Theater around the world
- Learn about a style of theater from another part of the world.
10. See it live!
- Attend a live theater performance.
