Lion Country Safari's badge workshop will help your Scout group
prepare for earning a badge. The following list will help you to understand
what Lion Country Safari covers, and what the Scout and/or group will
need
to do to complete the badge requirements. All badge workshops must be
arranged in advance.

What does minimal impact mean? - Define and explain the concept of minimal impact. Discuss as related to hiking, camping, backpacking, trips to a park. 4. To protect the environment - Brainstorm a list of ways of helping the environment. Get list of ways to save the planet. 6. Classifying outdoor objects: Art/Science - Describe various outdoor items by their: shape, size, texture, color, etc. 7. An outdoor career - Learn about some of the "outdoor" careers at Lion Country Safari. 8. What do you see? - Do the group activity listed in your book. 9. Take a nature hike! - Go on a guided nature walk with education staff, paying close attention to colors and shapes of flora & fauna. |
