Born in 1974, Peter came to Lion Country Safari as a two-year-old pet of people who found out early how strong and difficult chimps can be. Peter spent several years in our nursery, often greeting celebrities and VIP's that came to Lion Country Safari. But when he was old enough, he was integrated into a small group of chimps where he learned how to be a real chimp. He is still very "people" oriented, signing frequently for food treats, but he is a strong social member of his group and is respected by all. |

Born here in 1981, Luna is the mother of Orbit. Her control of the group is quite obvious, especially when the chimps cross the bridge to go to another island. She has her preferences of islands and will often stall the group from moving to an island she does not like. She is a strong, goal-oriented individual that often gets her way. She has political savvy and can be quite outspoken. |

Born here to Luna in 1995, Orbit likes to play with stuffed animals. Orbit is the spark plug for this group that otherwise would be content to just sit around all day if it were not for the playful nature of this beautiful little girl. |

Born here in 1990, Dandy has one eye that is opaque because of a childhood injury. She is all chimp and the successful offspring of our laboratory research group. Her parents overcame their life in sterile confinement to reproduce and successfully raise this beautiful girl. Dandy's presence has really enhanced the group and proves to the world that chimpanzees are resilient and adaptable. |

Born here in 1982, Sabrina is an expert coconut cracker. She is quiet compared to the rest of her vocal group, but vary capable of standing her ground and expressing herself. She is all chimp and has little use for humans unless there are goodies to acquire. Her wildness is her charm and makes her a strong addition to her social group. |
