| Day Camp 2002 - Week 2 | |
First, we made chimp enrichments, then we took them out to the preserve and gave them to the chimp keepers, who told us all about our 33 chimpanzees and put the enrichments out on the islands. We then observed the chimps, just like our ChimpanZoo volunteers do! |
We made enrichments for all of the parrots, and then we went to the Animal Theatre, where we learned about Eddy, the double-yellow headed Amazon, and Twizzler, the blue-fronted Amazon. We then had our photo taken with Twizzler! |
We visited the iguana moat, where one of the reptile keepers told us all about the common green iguanas and the rare rhinoceros iguanas. We then counted to see if we could spot them all. |
We learned what a commissary is, and then we helped the keeper make the bird diets by doing the Bird Diet Relay Race. |
We learned all about these amazing insects, and took a nature hike to identify our native species. |
