Antelope
We met one of the Wildlife staff members who took us behind the scenes in the preserve and pointed out different antelope tracks. We also toured the preserve and tried to identify all of the various species of antelope. We made paper-mache antelope enrichments for the lions to tear up on Thursday morning. We also made a special antelope craft to take home. |

Macaw
We met an Education staff member, who led us in making enrichments for these large parrots and then told us all about the macaws. We have 4 different types of macaws at Lion Country Safari: blue and gold, scarlet, military, and greenwing. Some of us had our photo taken with one of the macaws. And we made a parrot craft later that day. We also held the baby chicks and candled eggs. |

Alligator
In the morning, we met an education staff member who told us all about alligators, and then we were able to hold the baby alligator. We met up with the education staff again at the 3:00 Alligator Chit-Chat and fed fish to the big gators. We made our own alligators to take home during craft time. |

Reptile Keeper
We met the reptile keeper at the iguana moat, where we had to count the number of each species of reptile that is in the exhibit. We then helped to prepare the diets for these animals, helped to clean the exhibit, and put the food in the exhibit. We made a special reptile craft to take home, too. |
