Sloth
We met Gonzo, the Hoffman's two-toed sloth, at a special show at the Animal Theater with an education member, and some of us even had our photos taken with this very slow mammal. We made a sloth craft and played a rainforest game, too. |

Crane
On Bird Day, we met a wildlife staff member who explained all about the two different species of cranes at Lion Country Safari. Some of us even got to take the Safari Queen boat ride around to get another look at these graceful birds. We learned how to candle eggs and even got to hold baby chicks! We also made a beautiful crane craft and played a crane game. |

Tortoise
We met the Commissary keeper and helped to prepare the Aldabra tortoises' diets. Then, we met an education staff member who told us all about tortoises. Some of us even got to feed one! We all had the chance to look inside an empty turtle shell, so be sure to ask us what we saw in there! We made a tortoise craft and played a game later. |

Giraffe Keeper
We met a wildlife staff member at the giraffe feeding area and helped to prepare the exhibit. We were told all about the giraffes and what the keepers do to care for them. Then, we watched the giraffe being released into the yard. We looked at the giraffe identification book to see if we could figure out who's who at the Giraffe Exhibit. Next, we were able to feed them! And some of us had our pictures taken with them, too! Later, we played a game and made a giraffe craft. |

South America
Our Habitats Day was focused on animals from South America. At the 2:30 show in the Animal Theater, we learned about 2 species that are indigenous to the continent of South America. Some of us had our photo taken with these animals. Next, we played a scavenger hunt to look for South American animals at Lion Country Safari. We also made a South American craft. |
