Antelope
We met one of the Wildlife staff members who took us behind the scenes in the preserve and pointed out different antelope tracks. We also toured the preserve and tried to identify all of the various species of antelope. We made paper-mache antelope enrichments for the lions to tear up on Tuesday morning. We also made a special antelope craft to take home. |

Pelican
Bird day was really cool! First, we candled eggs with an education staff member and then held the baby chicks. Later, we met an education staff member in the preserve to learn all about these birds that are found in North and South America. Then, one of the keepers brought fish and we were able to feed them! We also made a pelican craft and played a fun game. |

Skink
For our Reptile Day, we met an education staff member who told us about skinks. Lion Country Safari has a Solomon Island prehensile-tailed skink (Clymer) as well as a blue-tongued skink (Irwin). Some of us had our photo taken with one of these beautiful lizards. We also made a skink craft and played a game, too. |

Bird Keeper
For our Zookeeper Day, we first met an education staff member who helped us to make enrichments for the birds. Then we took our enrichments to the bird keeper, who told us all about the job of caring for the birds at Lion Country Safari. We were even able to help out by cleaning a parrot exhibit. Then, the keeper gave our enrichments to the parrots and we watched what they did with them. We made a special craft and played a special game, too. |

Rainforest
We met an education staff member at the Animal Theatre, where we learned all about some of the animals from all over the world that call the rainforest home. Some of us had our photo taken with one of these animals. We later went on a Rainforest scavenger hunt and made a craft to remember what we learned about this beautiful habitat. |
