We stayed at the Lion Country Safari campground, which was wonderful in itself. One of the nicest swimming pools and a very clean camp ground including the showers and laundry facility. We were thrilled they offered a package to the Safari for staying at the campground. Driving through the park to see all these animals was so thrilling. We did it two days in a row and saw different things both days. If I would have had a pass to go a third day we would have taken the tour again. The first day I took over 100 pictures. The second day I took about fifty. We laughed and laughed when an ostrich approached us and was looking into our vehicle. We had been looking the other way, so you can imagine how startled we were when we looked back. He was very curious about us and even pecked on our vehicle. What fun we had. Of course the highlight was being able to hand feed the beautiful giraffes. I never seen so many happy faces including our own. By-the-way…we are middle aged. I have recommended this camp ground and the drive through safari to so many people already. Even called back home to tell people about what a great place it is after the first day. I have highly recommended it to anyone of any age. What a great thing you are doing at this park for all of us. We are looking forward to coming here again, hopefully with my grandchildren.

We tent-camped at your KOA facility for one night last May or June. It was very pleasant despite the warm temps and hope to stay in one of you Kamping Kabins in April or May for our boys birthdays

Since we have moved down here in 2000, we have visited the KOA/LCS every year. Not once have we been disappointed. We have even brought our RV group down to visit 3 times. Looking forward to visiting again in the fall of 2005. I’m glad to see that you didn’t get much damage from the hurricanes. Trees can always grow, animals can’t always be replaced.

I’ve been extremely fortunate to have traveled a lot & seen many places, people & such.. Among the adventures and experiences I’ve enjoyed and can recommend unconditionally… nothing (beginning with a book called The Song of the Ape, by Andrew Halloran), has meant so much & brought such unbridled joy to my life, as having taken a VIP tour with Terry Wolf (Wildlife Director at Lion Country Safari). His stewardship, knowledge and devotion to the animals in his charge is not only above reproach, it is awe inspiring, yet he remains truly humble, down to earth and has no small measure of humorous tales from his years on the job. Feeding the giraffes, seeing the lions, rhinos, etc. made for truly great fun…. but for me personally, meeting ‘Little Mama’ (a 75+ year old chimpanzee you’ll learn about by reading The Song of the Ape, was among the 3 most inspirational, heartfelt, profound and deeply moving experiences I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot)! The distance traveled, etc. is very small price to pay for the chance to meet her!. Without reservation, I encourage anyone who hasn’t done so, to go and take the VIP tour (be sure to get Terry), the added cost for the VIP tour is the WELL WORTH IT.

My family just wanted to write and say what a wonderful job your company has done over the past few years. My children are 12 and 9 and we have been coming to your park every year since they were toddlers and we really appreciate the improvements every year. We especially loved the hands on touch tents with the in-depth information this year. After seeing the animals in the park and then getting to touch some of their teeth made it an awesome experience. We camped at the camp grounds for the first time and was very impressed with how clean and nice the facilities were. All the employees were nice and helpful. The lions roaring along with all the children to play with fulfilled us with a great weekend getaway. Keep up the great work and we will share this with all our friends!!!!!!

Our group from Murphy House in Key Largo visited Lion Country Safari from Dec 13 to 17th. We did the drive through four times thanks to the special available for Kabins at the KOA and free passes to LCS. You have the best animal park. All of the animals were healthy and looked comfortable in their enviornment–something that is very important to us. Our adult residents of Murphy House were no less amazed and entertained than the staff that accompanied us. We enjoyed the “walk-through” safari as well. We also found that to be clean and well kept. Your staff were wonderful. Thank you for caring about animals and allowing our group to have access to some of the best animals encounters possible. We hope to return soon to the KOA and to the LCS park. I think it was the best trip we have had so far.

Today we visited The Lion Country Safari which was an absolutely delightful experience. It was wonderful to see the animals roaming freely. Our 2 teenage children loved having to stop the car for crossing animals and my husband loved seeing the animals –so close up. I loved the chimp playing with his pink and purple gorilla doll which was –evident that he had received as a Christmas gift! Our favorite part of the day was having the opportunity to hand feed a giraffe. It was –an experience we will never forget. As a parent, I must also compliment you on the additional features the park offers — –the Splash Playground, the Safari Queen boat ride, and the Safari Maze to name a few — are all attractions included in the admission fee. My only complaint is that I was planning on enticing my husband’s interest on a safari –in Africa….and now he feels he has already done it! Thanks for a great day,

Everybody needs to drive through Lion Country Safari at least once! Lion Country Safari is the next best thing, if you can’t get to Africa. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It was a totally awesome experience. You just can’t get any closer to the animals’ natural habitat than this. Planning on visiting it again this July.

Pavilion Event Testimonials
My Husband David and I are animal lovers. When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something that celebrated our love of nature. At first we thought of having it at the zoo, but it wasn’t the right atmosphere. My mind immediately went to Lion Country Safari. With a few phone calls, I was able to schedule a site meeting and discuss food options. It was amazingly affordable and convenient.
The pavilion was beautifully landscaped and big enough for us to have a full sit-down wedding with procession and full sit-down dinner for 75 people.
They made the planning so easy. Parking was very close to the pavilion. We were able to decorate and set up a sound system for the DJ. When the ceremony was over, the guests just had to walk to the other side of the pavilion for a buffet lunch. The food was marvelous. We opted for a wrap sandwich buffet where guests got to choose what they wanted in the wrap and a catering assistant assembled and rolled the sandwich. There was also fresh fruit and a variety of drinks.
After eating, dancing and well-wishing, the guests were invited to enjoy the park. Everyone had a great time and I have some great pictures and memories of my unique wedding. People are still talking about it.

The whole event ran smoothly and we had a wonderful experience. Joanna was great with her prompt communication and insightful suggestions when I was not certain about what to do. She made sure that everything we needed was done. The catering staff was very nice too. They went out of their way to help us put up some of the decorations we had brought. Our guests enjoyed themselves immensely and many wanted to know more about hosting events at LCS. Thank you for such awesome service.
