Nile lechwe are one of the most aquatic of antelopes. Although they are relatively slow on land, no other antelope can run as fast through water or are as efficient in mud. Males are much darker than the females and have long horns which curve back over their shoulders. Their long hooves splay widely and are adapted for living in swampy terrain.
Gemsbok
A heavily built antelope native to the arid regions of southwest Africa. Long, straight horns are present in both males and females, but injuries from fighting are rare. Gemsbok are experts at conserving water and can go long periods of time without drinking.
