Flamingo encounters are available for $50 per person, plus tax, for guests ages 5-9 and $60 per person, plus tax, for guests ages 10 and up. Registration includes admission, parking, and a donation for conservation.
Caribbean flamingos are generally listed as “Least Concern” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), although habitat destruction is a potential threat to the species. Caribbean flamingos can be found throughout the islands and mainland coasts of the Caribbean Sea. Flamingos are extremely social birds, living in flocks numbering from a few dozen to up to hundreds of thousands in breeding season. Flamingos are also known for displays of unique courtship dances and vocalizations. Lion Country Safari is home to 19 Caribbean flamingos.
Lion Country Safari is Florida’s largest drive-through safari. Guests can see over 1,000 animals on 320 acres. The park is also home to the largest herd of zebras on record in the country.
